I'm back. Between soccer 6 days a week and recently trying to flip a house I have not had the time or energy to write a post until my little brother http://mikesbloggityblog.com/ sent me a picture of him and Jill Barber. If I have a celebrity crush it would be her. I remember last time I saw her live on tour with Stuart MacLean and Matt Anderson (who I am seeing tomorrow night, holla) and I also remember thinking to myself, If she played soccer I would be in love.
Kathleen Edwards is an amazing singer song writer from Ottawa and to my huge disappointment I have not seen her live yet. As I am writing this I am trying to think about the first time I heard her and its not coming to me but as is usually the case for me and music, I do remember what song did it for me:
Her last two albums are two of my favorites. They have maintained their spot on my little 8g Ipod since I got it. She hasn't had much new material lately and I cannot wait to here here 2012 release, Voyageur. When I was considering going to Toronto to see Bon Iver I noticed she is actually opening for him. If you don't know him, please check him out. As he doesn't quite fit into the blog yet I'll let you pick a song. Back to Kathleen.
